Apply for RAISEAfrica by RES4Africa Foundation Today!
RAISEAfrica is an abbreviation that encapsulates the spirit of Renewables Accelerators for Entrepreneurs and Innovative Startups in Africa. The RES4Africa Foundation is delighted to establish this acronym. Through this announcement, which marks the foundation of RAISEAfrica, an organization firmly devoted to the ideas it symbolizes, there is an overwhelming feeling of exhilaration and excitement radiating across the community. With a clear commitment to encouraging the growth and development of young folks as entrepreneurs and innovators, positively impact the African continent’s capacity for long-term sustainability and expanded expansion. This vision is strengthened by the collaborative efforts of Enel Green Power (EGP), Energias de Portugal, and creative thinkers. RES4Africa envisions a future in which these organizations, along with the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and the South African Institute of Chartered Accounts Enterprise Development (SAICA ED), will combine their respective areas of expertise to propel this initiative forward.
At its core, RAISEAfrica is an all-encompassing and forward-thinking effort designed to bolster Africa’s renewable energy sector. The curriculum has been methodically developed to significantly focus on acceleration tactics, which will work with continuing pre-acceleration activities. RAISEAfrica’s mission is to foster and promote firms focused on renewable energy within Africa’s developing startup ecosystem by offering strong support mechanisms. This environment will be favorable to the growth and development of these enterprises. Providing chances for young and energetic innovators to share their ground-breaking ideas and actively contribute to accomplishing the project’s broad aims is at the core of the organization’s purpose. Manufacturing, digitization, the circular economy, and energy productivity are some industries that are gaining significant attention and are therefore taking center stage. Additionally, the program stimulates debates on various businesses. It investigates the complex relationship between food, energy, and water, even though it does not cover the complete range of important industries.
The project uses two essential programs, the Pre-Accelerator, and the Accelerator, designed to cater to distinct phases of creating an entrepreneurial endeavor. In contrast to the Accelerator, which is precisely built for existing company owners looking to validate and grow their market presence, the Pre-Accelerator is geared toward those in the early phases of conceiving their business enterprises. Young brains filled with imaginative ideas are actively encouraged and invited by RAISEAfrica, which provides a promising possibility for a minimum of three organizations to gain coveted awards depending on their service. These awards include a wide range of critical help, which may include but is not limited to, fundraising, mentoring, networking, and a variety of other activities that are targeted at supporting the overall success of the firm.
Eligibility criteria for participation in these programs are stringent and purpose-driven:
For the Pre-Accelerator:
- Entrepreneurs and administrators aged between 18 to 35.
- Provision for unregistered startups meeting specific requirements:
- Implementation of a solution with market potential in Africa.
- Proprietor’s status as an African citizen or having the firm registered within Africa
For the Accelerator:
- Entrepreneurs within the age bracket of 18 to 35
- Demonstration of a viable solution with market potential in Africa
- Proprietor’s citizenship from an African nation or firm registration within Africa
- Business activities aligned with the renewable energy initiative.

To fulfill its steadfast commitment to fostering diversity and gender parity in selecting participants, RAISEAfrica actively pushes for and encourages female applicants to participate in this revolutionary effort. By actively working toward ensuring a balanced representation of genders, the organization continues to be firm in its quest to develop a participant selection process that resonates with diversity. This, in turn, helps to enhance the depth of viewpoints and ideas within the RAISEAfrica community. Contact giovanni.formicola@res4africa.org if you have any questions about the application process.
